Something new

I don't understand the point of blogging about something that has been written a thousand times already. So, I thought of all the astro-stuff that has been popular over the past few years - questions like ' what's in stock for my future', 'are we a match made in heaven', etc comes to mind. Where do all of these boil down to?

Predictive Astrology

And there's on going debate over which method is best for predicting the future. Some consider transits important, because they're the most common and fairly easy to do. Others rely on Progressions.. and the Uranian believers think of one word : Solar Directions. No one method works for all. I've tried transits, they can be accurate. Always keep the orb in mind. An aspect with an orb of 0-1 degree is the strongest, and most likely to happen in your life. Aspects between two planets have over a million combinations, so generalizing about them is bogus.

Some basic rules of predicting

  • Your question is related to a planet. Ex. relationships -- look for Venus, where it is in your chart, is it making any strong aspects with another planet? I remember the last time Venus conjuncted Pluto, people went through transformations in their relationships. Venus is not always a relationship, it can also mean social status - look at the natal placement and it should get easy.
  • Orbs. Controversial in astrology - I personally believe the orb should be between 0 and 1. O being the strongest. Some planets are 'generational' , they move slow - saturn takes 7 years to change a sign, pluto takes 7 years as well.. but whenever these planets make an exact aspect to your natal planets, you're bound to 'feel' something. What you feel depends on your natal planet, the house it's in - and the sign it's in.
  • Solar Arc (aka. Solar Directions) give actual dates, and I've been amazed at their accuracy. Thing is, they're very rare. You should get a Solar Arc major aspect in 6 months, or even a year.. they don't occur that often, so each and every aspect (square, conjunct, quintile, quindecile) makes a deep impact.
